With an upper made of a combination of mesh and asics canada premium nubuck, you would think the materials would stand out. However, it is the bright aqua color that dominates the upper that catches your eye. The qua color is broken up into thre different shades and each is highlighted by the associated materials. A taste of white is thrown in beneath the aqua on the Asics logo as well as the Gel branding on the midsole. The lining is all grey which helps strike a delicate balance between the three shades on qua on the shoe. As they are only a sample, they will not make it to production.

Asics for Fall/Winter Preview Jan 20, 2010 Asics made an appearance at the Bright Tradeshow with their Asics 2010 Spring/Summer Preview and just a few day later they hit us with the Fall/Winter line-up.Looking between the two collections you can definitely tell Asics wanted a brighter and more lively color scheme for the colder months. The 3 Gel Lyte IIIs shown all use a strong base color with accents that pop and stand out from the rest of the shoe. The two other styles shown are on complete opposite sides of the spectrum; one colored in primarily white with blue and red accents, and the other dressed in black with white and hot pink accents. Based on these shots, Asics has a solid line-up for 2010.

Asics Onitsuka Tiger Cat Collection Dec 12, 2009 The Asics Tiger Cat Collection finds the brand taking their Onitsuka Tiger X-Caliber model and letting designers run free. Inspired by the concept of a world where cats are bigger than humans or the asics gel nimbus basic idea of a jungle cat the creative partners of StudioAnti and Washio Tomoyuki both put their individual spin on the sneaker.

Washio Tomoyuki gave his runner a sketched on feel with hand drawn graphics while StudioAnti went with a more reserved design done in greys with yellow accenting via claw marks and branding. This is in complete contrast to what Tomoyuki decided to do with his palette of black, white, red and gold. These are not set to release in the states but certainly a pair or two will pop up.
